PUTTING YOUR DONATION TO GOOD USE

All of our exceptional and highly motivated students participate in the program on full or partial scholarships, and 100% of your tax-deductible donation will directly support ARC’s programs in the following ways:

$5000     Sponsors an entire life-changing 40-day summer course for 1 high school student
$3500     Sponsors an entire life-changing 24-day summer course for 1 high school student
$2500     Sponsors a 7-day group backpacking expedition in Sequoia National Park, Yosemite or Desolation Wilderness
$1500    Sponsors 12 youth for a weekend retreat excursion to Lake Tahoe or the Central Coast
$1000     Facilitates a week of literacy & leadership classes for 1 student during ARC’s summer course
$500       Creates an opportunity for youth to build trust & overcome challenges at a ropes course
$100       Purchases one new pair of waterproof hiking boots that will outfit many feet during the coming years
$50         Sponsors one high school student to practice determination through rock climbing
$20         Provides 1 mentoring meeting between an ARC staff person and a summer course graduate

Volunteering for ARC
Year after year, our volunteers have provided invaluable service to the program. We have many opportunities for both our summer and year-round programming. To inquire about volunteering, please fill out our volunteer application, and one of us will contact you soon.
Volunteer opportunities include:
  • Tutoring in Writing, Public Speaking, and/or Environmental Science
  • Mentoring a high school participant
  • Supporting logistical projects
  • Coordinating events with staff
  • Teaching a workshop during a weekend retreat
  • Participating in a board-level committee
